Heavy Floods strike El Salvador (EN INGLES)

On November 7th, Hurricane Ida and a tropical depression from the Pacific coast both hit El
Salvador with heavy rains to the extent that there have been 350 mm of precipitation in just 24
hours, which is about the same amount of precipitation caused by Hurricane Stan in five
days. Such heavy rains have caused floods and mudslides, impacting thousands of families in at
least five departments of El Salvador.
